Insights
UX-Insights
As already indicated, I had almost no insight into the UX research or user tests that were carried out. However, I was able to get a superficial picture of the user groups interacting with the application through discussions with customer advisors and other project participants. These served me to consider possible problems when creating mock-ups.
Client advisor
- Mostly between 24 and 35 years
- Mostly male
- Multilingual
- Study or higher education
Problems
- Must face the customer while serving the customer.
- Must not get lost in redundant interaction with the tool.
- Must be able to bring the content shown to the customer in an understandable way
Customers
- Mostly over 40 years
- Balanced gender
- Mostly German-speaking, with an increasing number of other languages
- Rarely expertise
Problems
- The customer is overwhelmed by too much information
- He occasionally becomes distracted and unable to follow the Advisor and his interactions with Tool.
- In the older age group, poor eyesight and poor concentration can make understanding difficult
Design process & self-management
The handover of tasks was mostly very brief and based on sparsely described "wireframes" with no technical or data-based information.
The further development and implementation was my responsibility, as well as obtaining understanding, questions or insight from stakeholders. The cooperative behavior of most of the contact persons and their personal opinions helped me.

Creation
Interactive charts
One task within the Consult project was the creation of Mock-ups for interactive parameterized diagrams on a wide variety of consulting topics. When designing, I incorporated design principles to improve the UX as much as possible:
- Focus on valuable information
- Structuring of data collection forms and there outputs
- Simplification and reduction of the representation
- Elimination of redundant elements
- Orientation and understanding through design consistency
